This year will be two changes in the JEE main 2017 exam pattern. JEE MAIN 2017 is in India’s most popular Engineering entrance exam. After main exam only selected students will be choosen for the JEE ADVANCED 2017 exam. Here is the two changes for the exam–
1. This year shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main Test.
2. Candidates who qualify for the Admission in the IITs or NITs or IIITs and additional like CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have make safe as a minimum 75% marks in the 12th class exam, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class exam organised by the respective Boards.
the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination for SC / ST candidates.
Some other States & institutions like Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system, Therefore, their admission criteria will be make known by the exam authorities. Hence, the students looking for admission to the institutions in these states, which were previously admitting based on their State level exam, are also suggested to fill in the JEE Main 2017 online application form. Furthermore The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE Main will be a test for join the JEE Advanced, which the students has to join if they is wish for admission to the undergraduate programmes presented by the IITs.
a) All the Indian citizen applicants should have AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI. When filling JEE Main 2017 application form, the applicants must put their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender which will be validated with the UIDAI’s data. If in any case, these details do not match, the applicants will not be able to fill the application form.
b) Applicants have not yet enrolled for Aadhaar, are hereby needed to create application for Aadhaar enrolment in case they is entitled to get Aadhaar according to section 3 of Aadhaar Act. Such Candidates can visit any Aadhaar enrolment center (list available at www.uidai.gov.in) to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
c) Also Candidates who are not having Aadhaar, for them the CBSE has arranged facilitation centres in every city of exam for the resolution of Aadhaar enrolment. The candidates can go to the facilitation centres and absolutely free of cost. Students who have enrolled for Aadhaar and have not get Aadhaar should enter 28 digit Aadhaar no in enrolment slip when filling online application form for JEE Main 2017.
Important Application Dates For JEE Main 2017
JEE MAIN 2017 online application process will begin from 1st December, 2016 onwards. The last date for application is 2nd January, 2017 and application fee can be paid upto 3rd January 2017.
