NEET 2016 or National Eligibility Entrance Test: Phase I & Phase II

NEET 2016 or National Eligibility Entrance Test is conducted by the CBSE Board. This entrance test is prearranged for those apprentices who are looking for admission in various medical courses (MBBS/BDS) offered by top medical colleges in India. The exam is held in 2 phases for the session 2016, it is called NEET Phase – I (AIPMT) and NEET Phase – II. Phase 1 and has been held fruitfully on May 1, 2016 at many centres in whole country. The NEET 2016 phase II will be held on July 24, 2016. The both result for phase I & II will be announced on August 17, 2016 for admittance to as many as 52, 305 MBBS and BDS seats in government medical and dental colleges of India.

Some Question & Answer About NEET Phase I and II

What do you mean by NEET Phase-I ?

Ans. -As per the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court,  AIPMT-2016  will  be  known  as  NEET Phase I

Who can appear in AIPMT-2016/NEET Phase-I on May 1, 2016 ?

Ans. -Only  the  candidates  who  have  applied  for AIPMT-2016 can appear in AIPMT 2016/NEET Phase-I

Who can appear in NEET Phase-II on  July 24, 2016 ?

Ans.-Only the candidates who have not applied for AIPMT-2016 can appear in NEET Phase-II

Can a candidate registered in AIPMT – 2016 /NEET-Phase-I will be allowed to appear in NEET Phase- II ?

Ans.- No

Can   a   candidate   remain   absent   in   AIPMT- 2016/NEET-Phase-I      be   allowed to   appear in NEET Phase-II ?

Ans. No

Can a candidate be allowed to appear in both NEET Phase I and NEET Phase- II ?

Ans. No

NEET 2016 Application Form / Registration

Aspirants can get the NEET Application Form 2016 via online process only through the official website of NEET. The application form will be released from the second week of May, 2016. The application fee can be submitted by credit or debit card or through bank challan. The application fee for general candidates will be Rs. 1400/- and for reserved categories fee will be Rs.750/-. Candidates are required to print the computer generated confirmation page for future references.

NEET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

  • You have to fulfill the NEET 2016 eligibility before applying:
  • Indian Nationals and OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible to apply.
  • You have to fulfill the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
  • The upper age limit criteria will be 25 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. There will be 5 year age relaxation for SC / ST / OBC category reserved candidates.
  • Candidate must born on or between:

(1) 01/01/87 – 01/01/2000 (SC/ST/OBC Category)

(2) 01/01/92 – 01/01/2000 (Other Category)

  • You have to passed the 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.

Eligibility for All India Quota Seats:

You have to appear or will be appearing in 2016 for class 10+2 or equivalent examination. You need appear and succeed the class 12th examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (PCB) Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not below the core course for English as set by the NCERT.

You have to passed the B.Sc. Exam of an Indian University with not below two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that you passed the earlier qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.

You have to secured at least 50% marks in PCB or 45% (General PH) or 40% (SC / ST / OBC)

NEET 2016 Syllabus

The question paper for the examination will be based on a common syllabus notified by the Medical Council of India, from physics, chemistry and biology subjects.

NEET 2016 Seat Reservation

Reservation for different categories is mentioned below:

Scheduled Caste (SC) — 15% Seats

Scheduled Tribe (ST) — 7.5 % Seats

OBC (Non Creamy Layer) — 27% Seats

PH (Physically Handicapped) — 3% Seats on horizontal basis

NEET 2016 Hall Ticket / Admit Card

The NEET Hall Ticket 2016 will be released from 08.07.2016 (Friday). Applicants who have registered positively for the examination will be able to download the hall ticket from the official site of the authority. Applicants make a note of the hall ticket / admit card will not be sent via post. It will have applicants name & roll no, fathers name, category, photograph, signature, date and place of the examination and other information.

NEET 2016 Result

The conducted authority will give the result to candidates on 17th August, 2016. Candidates can check Result of NEET 2016 through the official website of the authority. Candidates are necessary to insert their roll number and additional necessary information to check their results. The CBSE Board will arrange a merit list for admission according to the orders of the authorities. There will be no separate merit set for the SC/ST students.

NEET Cut off Score 2016

NEET 2016 cutoff score of will be contingent upon many factors like complexity level if test, availability of seats, no of candidates etc. Based on the NEET cutoff score, CBSE will arrange the merit list for all the eligible aspirants. On the basis of Cut off score 2016, the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats will be complete.

NEET 2016 Counselling

2016 NEET Counselling will be on-going from 4th week of September, 2016. Online counselling for seats under 15% All India Quota will be conducted by the Directorate General of Health Services. Admissions will be based on the merit list set as per the marks scored by the students in the entrance examination.
