Common Law Admission Test is abbreviated as CLAT. It is an all India entrance examination. It is conducted on rotational basis by 16 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to their undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes (LL.B. & LL.M.). CLAT 2017 is an online examination and candidates who are interested shall fill the application form through online mode. CLAT 2016 was conducted by Rajib Gandhi National University. Here in this article we are giving information about CLAT 2017 eligibility criteria, application process , exam pattern , admit card download , result date etc.
CLAT 2017 exam will be held in 1st week of May 2017.
CLAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
For UG Courses
Applicants has to qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination with the minimum 45% marks (in case of Unreserved/OBC/SAP categories) and 40% marks (in case of SC/ST category).
Appearing candidates of Class 10+2 or equivalent examination are also eligible to appear in the entrance exam.
At the time of admission, the candidates would have to produce an evidence of their passing qualifying examination.
There is no upper age limit to appear in CLAT 2017.
For PG Courses
The applicants appearing for CLAT 2017 must have passed LL.B degree or any other equivalent degree as per rules of the exam authority.
The students should have scored minimum of 55% aggregate in the LL.B courses or any other equivalent degree courses.
SC/ S.T and other reserved category candidates should have 50% Marks.
The applicants who have passed the qualifying exam with supplementary or compartment are also eligible, but they have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination with 55/50% or as applicable.
There is no upper age limit.
CLAT 2017 Exam Pattern
For UG Courses
There should have 200 questions carrying 200 marks i.e each question carrying 1 mark. There will be negative marking (-0.25) for every wrong answers. The duration of CLAT 2017 is 2.00 hrs.
For PG Courses
The question paper for CLAT 2017 should have 150 MCQ question carrying 150 Marks i.e one marks each. For one wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted.
The duration of the exam: 2.00 hrs.

For U.G Courses
The questions will be given from the following disciplines:
- Reasoning 40 Marks.
- Legal Aptitude 50 Marks.
- English & Comprehension 40 Marks.
- Elementary Mathematics 20Marks
- General Knowledge and Current Affairs 50Marks
For P.G Courses:
CLAT 2017 paper will be set from the following syllabus:
- Constitutional Law 50 Marks
- Jurisprudence 50Marks
- Other law subjects 50 Marks
CLAT 2017 Application Procedure
CLAT 2017 Online Application Form will be available on the CLAT website www.clat.ac.in. The form can be filled creating a log in account of the students.

General,OBC.,PWD and other category: Rs. 4000/-
SC/ST: Rs. 3500/-
CLAT 2017 Fees Payment
CLAT 2017 fees will be paid either by online or offline.
CLAT 2017 Admit Card/ Hall ticket
CLAT2017 admit card / Hall ticket will be available to download from middle of April 2017 on the official website of the CLAT 2017.

CLAT 2017 Results will be published in last week of May 2017
